HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT THE PROVIDENT FOUNDATION

In an era of managed care, the story of Provident Hospital: A Living Legacy, is "must" reading. This handsome, publication traces the development of one of the most historic hospitals in the nation: Provident Hospital. Published by the Provident Foundation, the book chronicles a story of courage in the face of overwhelming odds and a community's struggle against a lack of healthcare resources and discrimination.

The Provident Foundation has prepared a series of historical postcards which feature Dr. Daniel Hale Williams as a young man (1880), Emma Reynolds (1889), two alumni classes of Provident Hospital's School of Nursing (classes of 1897 and 1920), The Junior Service League of Provident Hospital and Training School (1933), and Provident Hospital and Training School doctors and interns making rounds (cs.1940).
